(We are going to be with family next week so no blog update for 2 weeks. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!)

“The room grew still as she made her way to Jesus. She stumbles through the tears that made her blind. She felt such pain. Some spoke in anger. Heard folks whisper, “there’s no place here for her kind!”
Still on she came through the shame that flushed her face. Until at last she knelt before His feet. And no though she spoke no words, everything she said was heard. As she poured her love for the Master from her box of Alabster.
And I’ve come to pour my praise on Him like oil from Mary’s Alabaster box. Don’t be angry if I wash His feet with my tears and I dry them with my hair.
You weren’t there the night He found me.
You did not feel what I felt when He wrapped His love all around me.
You don’t know the cost of the oil. You don’t know the cost of my praise.
You don’t know the cost of the oil in my Alabaster box.”*
Lord God, that this would truly by the cry of every believer on a Sunday morning. That our single and united desire would simply be to pour our praise out before You.
Even if that means we simply anoint Your feet with our tears and dry them off with our hair.
May we recognize that we come before Your throne not alone, but we do come without fear or vanity or pride
There may be some with us who do not understand who and what You are and what You have done to redeem us, to make us Your own. You have called those of us who were not Your people and have made us Your people.
So may those who belong to You not worry about what their neighbor thinks but what the Almighty before whom they stand thinks. May You be our focus and blessing You our primary goal. And if that means we look foolish before others may we please You.
Father, may we worship You in Spirit and in Truth. May we stand united with the saints who have gone before in bowing before Your throne and acknowledging that You are holy and You alone are God.
To You be all blessing, honor, glory, power, wisdom and thanks. Amen
