Join with us as we go through Luke 19 and the parable of the 10 minas. What’s the context we are missing? What’s the connection with Herod the Great and Archelaus his son? Who’s the King in this parable going on a long journey? Why does it matter how the servants live in the absence of their Master?

There is so much more to this parable than we normally understand. Jesus is giving a clear warning to His followers that how they live matters. And how they live now can one day bring great reward in eternity.

We also learn that our view of God matters. Whether we see God as a loving Father or vindictive King will influence the way we live and our eternal reward as well.

Once again in this parable we see that Jesus cares about how His disciples live. And those who live for the King will get a reward. While those who fight against Him are punished.
